All -7 Series mini excavators are hydraulic quick-coupler-ready with quick-coupler hydraulic piping installed to the end of the arm. All models also have a thumb-ready arm that includes durable thumb mounts integrated into the arm.

Auxiliary hydraulics are configured with easy connections to quickly connect hoses when using hydraulic attachments. An optional second set of hydraulics runs multi-function attachments that require multi-function hydraulic flow.

DEVELON incorporates steel hydraulic lines mounted securely on the top part of the boom structure, protected from wear, tear and damage on the job. Rubber hoses are routed through the lower portion of the boom swing casting that stand up to rugged working conditions.

The durable DEVELON work group is built tough, ensuring a long, productive life for your machine and requiring less routine maintenance. It’s also designed with room for the addition of secondary auxiliary hydraulics. If you need them, you can install a second auxiliary hydraulics option with less effort and lower cost.

The swing-open tailgate and side-access hood offer easy access to the engine and pump package, valve bank, cooling system and plumbing. Filters, fluids, air cleaner, battery and other maintenance points are also easy to get to. Cooling cores can be separated for quick, easy cleaning of the radiator. Centralized boom swing cylinder grease banks make daily maintenance more convenient.

The battery disconnect switch completely disables your battery connection, protecting the battery life during extended storage periods. Color-coded and labelled wiring and hydraulic hoses allow quicker, easier electrical troubleshooting.

A simple thumb switch on the right joystick controls auxiliary hydraulic functions, making fine adjustments effortless and improving your efficiency and comfort throughout the day. A thumb switch on the left joystick (4-ton models and larger) control your boom swing. Choose the control pattern you prefer — ISO or BHL.

The easy-to-read, full-color LCD 5.7-inch screen displays key machine data and control options. The screen provides a high-resolution graphic display, enhanced machine vitals and diagnostic screens.

An optional 8-inch touch screen display upgrade provides additional features, including air conditioning and audio controls from the panel.

The optional rearview camera provides an additional view, allowing you to navigate easily on jobsites.

A compact excavator, also known as a mini excavator, is designed to operate in tight spaces where larger excavators cannot fit. Many mini excavators are equipped with either 'zero' tail swing or 'reduced' tail swing capabilities, allowing them to maneuver easily in confined areas as long as the tracks can pass through.

It’s also essential to consider the hydraulic flow for the mini excavator attachments. Mini excavators are available with rubber tracks or tires to best fit your job site conditions.

The average mini excavator price or rental cost can vary based on the local market, machine class and options. First, determine your necessary mini excavator specs. You can typically find equipment specifications on the manufacturer's website.

Next, consider the available space on the job site. This will narrow down your options. Select a machine that offers the performance and operational capabilities to be most efficient.

Mini excavators come in zero tail swing, reduced tail swing and conventional tail swing configurations. A reduced or zero tail swing mini excavator has less overhang when it turns, enabling it to work close to other objects.

Mini excavator safety features may include high-illumination LED lamps for enhanced visibility to the work area so the operator can see the workgroup, particularly the attachment. An optional rotating beacon may be available for enhanced safety when operators are working in high-traffic areas or low-light situations.

The vehicle needed to transport your mini excavator will depend on the weight of the machine.
