While the Develon roots date back to 1937, the name is inspired by forward-thinking — “Develop” and “Onward.” DEVELON (de•VEL•on) innovation builds smarter, safer solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s construction challenges.

New Name, New Vision

After the 2021 purchase by HD Hyundai, DEVELON construction equipment prepared for a bold new future. In 2023, we changed our brand name from Doosan to DEVELON (a combination of develop and onward) and embarked on a renewed mission, building innovative equipment that enhances our customers’ productivity, performance, reliability, comfort and safety.
